SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it is alarmed with regard to the high number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of status sassa infrastructure here at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The services place produced for intervention activities a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
